[T5W] Favourite Posts

topfive

Top Five Wednesday (T5W) is a weekly meme hosted by Thoughts On Tomes. Each week there is a new theme which you can find on the T5W Goodreads group. This week’s topic is favourite posts of your own.

This seems very narcissistic haha but below are five of my favourite posts. I’ve chosen these because:

a) They are full of my fangirl word vomit

b) They are about topics that really interest me

1) Review of A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

Warning: Review does contain character and plot spoilers

acomaf2

If you’ve spent any time on my blog or on Goodreads, you’ll probably know that ACOMAF just rocked my fucking world. I love Feyre, I love Rhysand, I love Sarah J. Maas and I love this world that has been so beautifully and ferociously crafted. I already know that no matter how many great books I read this year, this is definitely going to make my top 10 if not be my number 1 book.

2) Book tag 3 days, 3 quotes (day 1): nominated by Esther at Chapter Adventures

book tag (4)

This was the first book tag I was nominated for since I started my blog a month or so ago and it was so much fun. Like a lot of book lovers my favourite quotes tend to stick out in my mind and I loved getting to pull these together and share them with other readers. For day 1, I ended up picking my favourite quote from my favourite book Shadow of the Wind by  Carlos Ruiz Zafón.

3) Discussing my favourite Disney movies

disney1

Who doesn’t love a Disney movie? Even at 27 I still enjoy watching these movies. Part of this is because of the nostalgia and the songs are forever stuck inside my mind, the other part is because they really are just fantastic movies that keep you entertained start to finish.

4) Review of A Gathering of Shadows by V. E. Schwab

Warning: Review does contain character and plot spoilers

agos2

AGOS is one of my favourite sequels. The writing, the dope magic, the character development…every element made this book absolutely amazing. My review is basically a fangirl ramble of epic proportions.

5) Discussing the Gilmore Girls revival

Warning: May contain character spoilers depending on how much of the show you have scene

Gilmore Girls (WB) Season 1, 2000-2001 Episode: Love and War and Snow Airdate: December 14, 2000 Shown from left: Alexis Bledel (as Rory Gilmore), Lauren Graham (as Lorelai Gilmore)

This strange and witty fast speaking mother-daughter duo made Gilmore Girls one of the better TV shows out there. Gilmore Girls is still one of my all time favourite shows and I have watched my DVD box sets to death – many marathons with my girlfriends have been had after some tough break ups, bad work weeks or just as an excuse to catch up.

Leave me links to your top 5, I’d love to check out some more posts.
