I’ve just finished what has now become one of my top fave docu-series thanks to good old Netflix. Tales By Light follows Australian photographers around the world as they find, setup and execute the perfect photographs.
I’m someone who loves looking at National Geographic photos but must admit I’ve never really considered what lengths the photographers go to in order to get those incredible shots. I now have a new appreciation for all photographers and am no regretting not dedicating my whole life to becoming a travel photographer.
If you have a spare 20 minutes to watch even 1 episode, do yourself a favour and commit. My fave episode? Episode 6 where photographer Art Wolfe visits different native tribes to document their culture – absolutely stunning.
Behind every powerful image is a powerful story. Uniting exploration, photography and the natural world, Tales By Light follows photographers from Australia and around the world as they push the limits of their craft. Told from the eye of the storyteller, follow these extraordinary artists as they work to capture the perfect image and show us our world in a new light.
