I stole this tag from Book Pandamonium. If you haven’t already, be sure to head over and give the blog a follow.
Ebooks or Physical Books? Physical books all day every day.
Paperback or Hardback? Paperbacks for sure. Hardbacks look a lot nicer on the shelf but I find them really hard to actually read + they can be hella expensive.
Online or In-Store Shopping? Love the vibe of being in-store but have to say I am partial to the discounts on Book Depository.
Trilogies or Series?Trilogies. Unless Sarah J. Maas or V. E. Schwab are writing them, because I will legit read their books forever.
Heroes or Villains? Love a good villain who tears shit up so the hero has something to you know, be heroic about. Also love me an underdog.
A Book You Want Everyone to Read? I know everyone is probably already reading it, but I would have to say The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas.
Recommend an Underrated Book: Learning Not To Drown by Anna Shinoda.
The Last Book You Finished? A Conjuring of Light by V. E. Schwab and it was fucking amazing. Check out my review.
Weirdest Thing You Used as a Bookmark? I don’t think I’ve used anything weird. Maybe a receipt or a napkin from a restaurant.
Used Books, Yes or No?100% yes. Secondhand bookstores are one of my favourite places on earth.
Top Three Favorite Genres? Contemporary, fantasy and thrillers.
Borrow or Buy? Buying because I need to own all the books.
Characters or Plot? Characters. I can usually get passed a choppy plot if the characters are interesting and complex.
Long or Short Book? Long. Unless the writing is stellar, I always find short books feel rushed or have plot holes.
Long or Short Chapters? Short. It makes reading a lot more fun and I find it helps me get through more of a book in one sitting.
Name the First Three Books You Think of: Oh geez. A Court of Wings and Ruin, Virgin Suicides and A Tale For The Time Being.
Books that Make You Laugh or Cry? Laugh. As much as I enjoy a soppy love story, I don’t like feeling depressed while reading.
Our World or Fictional Worlds? Fictional worlds. Our world is so depressing these days, I would much rather read about some far off land that couldn’t possibly exist.
Audiobooks: Yes or No? Yes! I am so short on time these days that audiobooks are sometimes the only way I get to even read books. Plus it is a nice break in the car from all the dribble on the radio these days.
Do You Ever Judge A Book By Its Cover? Almost always. I can’t help it. I am sure I’ve dropped amazing books just because the cover was shithouse.
Book to Movie or Book to TV Adaptation? TV. I like that the story arcs can be fleshed out more and if it’s a series I love, I have no issue coming back week after week.
Series or Standalone? Standalones. I love being able to pick up book after book and delve into different worlds when you are reading standalones.
It doesn’t look like you need to tag anyone in this but link below if you do it and I will check it out.
