[Chat] Where I’ve Been

BOOKHAUL

Hi team, hope you are all doing well.

So this isn’t really a rant, but I just wanted to give a quick update as to where I’ve been. For the past month I have been gallivanting around the west coast of Canada and through the Rockies taking a much needed break from my everyday life. It was a fantastic time and if you get a chance, you should definitely make your way over there too.

As such I haven’t really posted anything in a while but now I’m back it is on…well once the jetlag subsides. I managed to read a few good books while I was away and will be getting posts up from next week on.

Have an awesome week!

[Chat] What I’m Reading

BOOKHAUL(4)

HANDS UP IF YOU HAVE READ/ARE READING/WILL BE READING THIS BOOK!

Reading this is quite literally the only thing I want to be doing right now but no, it is Monday and I am currently stuck at work. Sigh. So far, this book is far exceeding my expectations and I am thoroughly thrilled with how wonderfully destructive the story has been. This story is heating up fast and I am on edge just thinking about what is going to happen next. Can’t wait to get home and dive right back in.

Sidenote: I am slowly making my way through Lady Midnight and Six of Crows but I am still loving them. The writing is getting better and better as I make my way through each book and once I’ve knocked out ACOWAR, I will be giving these two some much needed love.

Let me know what book you’re currently obsessing over.

[Chat] May Releases

BOOKHAUL

Holy shit, I just had a look and there are so many amazing books coming out this month. It is nuts. To save this from becoming the world’s longest post, I have narrowed it down to a few of the ones I am the most excited for but just know, there are a tonne of other books being released this month.

Also, don’t panic guys but ACOWAR is coming out soon. Like real soon.

What are you most looking forward to reading this month?

[Chat] AVA Readathon Wrap Up

image

Well April is over. That happened quickly.

I want to give special thanks to Aimal for creating this awesome readathon that kicked my ass into gear and helped me tackle my ARCs. This was such a fantastic readathon that you should definitely get involved in the next time it pops up.

I thought I would do a super quick wrap up of all the books I made it through with mini reviews for each. These are all the books I planned on reading however I only managed to get through 5 in the end, a pretty good effort I think.

[YouTube] Adult Books for YA Readers

BOOKHAUL.png

Sometimes, the wonderful tropes that make you fall in love with a YA book just don’t serve your reading mood at the time, but because it is your go-to genre, it can be tough to figure out what else to read. I just saw that the lovely booktuber A Clockwork Reader posted a great recommendation video for if you are looking for transitional books that take you from YA to more adult fiction. Be sure to check it out.

[Chat] POPSUGAR Reading Challenge

BOOKHAUL.png

Is anyone partaking in the POPSugar Reading Challenge for this year? I literally just found out about it but think it is a pretty cool way to not only tick off some of the books you’ve been dying to read but also find some new ones too. I’m going to be taking it up as of now because I could sure use some help myself.

You can join the Goodreads list and print off a checklist to help you keep on track.

[Chat] #1 Life Pet Peeve

BOOKHAUL

Team, I just need to vent for a second about one of my least favourite life pet peeves: people who don’t indicate when changing lanes.

What is with that?! Is everyone a mind reader apart from me? Am I just supposed to assume that you are going to zig zag in and out of traffic and give you free reign of the road? No.  I went on a mini road trip over the weekend and I have never felt road rage before but it came on and slapped me in the face. So many idiots driving over 100 km/h, changing lanes fast without indicating  and risking the safety of everyone. Indicators are on your car for a reason. Use them.

Rant over.

Does this bother anyone else?

[Chat] What I’m Reading

BOOKHAUL(4).png

Hello lovelies. Hope you are all doing well. Today I just wanted to do a very quick post about the books I’m currently reading. I have been getting a lot of fomo lately because it feels like everyone keeps talking about some great books I haven’t read yet. As such, most of the books I currently have a hand in aren’t new, but are hyped older releases.
